Few communities in Colorado have a stronger connection to the military than Fountain and the Fountain Valley. Our neighbors wear the uniform, our businesses serve military families, and our schools welcome children whose parents have answered the call to serve our nation. Supporting our military community is not simply something we talk about- it is part of who we are.

That is why the Carson Connector is such an important project for our region.

While transportation projects rarely generate the same excitement as new businesses or major developments, they often have some of the greatest long-term impact. The Carson Connector has the potential to make daily life easier for thousands of service members, civilian employees, and families who travel to and from Fort Carson each day.

Reliable transportation means more than simply getting from one place to another. It means providing access to jobs, education, healthcare, shopping, and community resources. It means reducing barriers for young enlisted soldiers who may not own a vehicle. It means helping military spouses reach employment opportunities and giving families greater flexibility in their daily lives.

For a community like ours, these improvements matter.

Fort Carson is one of the region's largest economic drivers and one of our most valued community partners. The success of our local communities and the success of the installation are closely connected. When we invest in infrastructure that supports military members and their families, we strengthen the entire region.

The Carson Connector also reflects

something larger: a recognition that supporting our troops goes beyond ceremonies and patriotic speeches. Those expressions of gratitude are important, but meaningful support requires action. It requires investing in the systems, services, and infrastructure that improve quality of life for the men and women who serve.

As Fountain and the surrounding communities continue to grow, transportation solutions will become increasingly important. Projects like the Carson Connector help ensure that growth benefits everyone while maintaining the strong relationship between our community and Fort Carson.

The Carson Connector is a practical investment that demonstrates that commitment, and we look forward to seeing the positive impact it will have on military families, local businesses, and the Fountain Valley for years to come.

When we invest in those who serve, we invest in the future of our entire community.
