Colorado Springs-Based Olympian Takes on New Challenge With ‘Dancing With the Stars’

A Colorado Springs-based Olympic figure skater is stepping away from the ice and into the ballroom.
Amber Glenn, a U.S. Olympic figure skater who trains in Colorado Springs, is joining the cast of this season’s Dancing With the Stars. Glenn will trade her skates for dancing shoes as she takes on a completely different kind of competition.
Glenn is no stranger to performing under pressure. Her figure skating career has taken her to the highest levels of the sport, including the Olympic stage. Now, she will have to learn new routines, choreography and dance styles while competing against other celebrities for the season’s championship.
Glenn will be partnered with professional dancer Pasha Pashkov, who has competed on Dancing With the Stars since 2019. The pair will work together throughout the season as Glenn learns ballroom routines and competes for the show's Mirrorball Trophy.
For fans in Colorado Springs, Glenn’s appearance on the popular ABC competition gives the community another chance to support an athlete who has made the city part of her skating career.
The new season of Dancing With the Stars is set to begin this month, with Glenn among the celebrities hoping to impress the judges and viewers, this time without an ice rink beneath her feet.
